Manchetts are pleased to be able to sponsor Burwell Carnival on 23June 2012 for the 5th year running with £1000 & the ever popular Manchetts Budgens Burwell Hampers for the raffle & charcoal for the barbecue.
The 2011 Carnival & Comedy nights allowed the Carnival Committee to distribute cheques totalling £10,635 to 32 different local groups & activities, recipients are those who help take part in the Carnival and shape Burwell life.
Carnival Day will be as busy as ever this year, starting with the parade at 12.15 along the traditional route. Float entrants will be paraded onto the field for the prize ceremony at around 1:00, and the fun-fair will begin.  The Carnival is a fundraising event; the traditional fete stalls and carnival run stands and refreshments directly benefit your community - please save some change to visit and enjoy these stands. Free Evening entertainment will be laid on, so please make use of the Carnival Bar and Carnival BBQ to help keep the fundraising efforts going. |
